With nearly 200,000 members throughout the province, youths represent a courageous and creative labor force active in every field. The spirit of “being present where needed and handling what is difficult” has been materialized by Điện Biên’s youths through various meaningful activities. These efforts range from cleaning village roads and renovating cultural houses to lighting up rural and border paths, establishing bookshelves for children, supporting the eradication of temporary and dilapidated housing, conducting election dissemination, and paying tribute to families under state policy.

During the national festival of democracy, youth members across the province demonstrated their responsibility by participating in dissemination and guidance for the elections, preparing physical facilities, and bringing election information to every household in the most remote villages. Such specific and responsible actions significantly contributed to the success of the elections for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels across the province.

In difficult highland and border regions, young people consistently strive to rise and foster a desire to prosper on their own soil. Their pioneering and creative roles in socio-economic development and maintaining national defense and security are clearly demonstrated through tangible results. Youth union members participate in revolutionary action movements and effectively implement projects tied to rural development, environmental protection, and social welfare. Successful production and enrichment models have emerged from a spirit of daring to think and act, particularly during the country’s new development phase.

Điện Biên’s youths have boldly started businesses in agriculture, applying science and technology to build green, eco-friendly, and highly efficient production models. Examples such as strawberry cultivation in Mường Phăng, coffee in Quài Tở, greenhouse organic grapes in Mường Thanh ward, and hydroponic vegetables in Sam Mứn commune were successfully initiated by young people who embraced innovation. These results stem from the green agricultural startup movement launched by the provincial Youth Union to awaken the innovative spirit of youths. The Union provides support through loans, technical training, and market connections, gradually building a generation of rural youths with dynamic and innovative production mindsets. These effective green agriculture models serve as core examples that help form sustainable commodity production areas and increase income for youths.

Youths in mountainous and highland areas act as a vanguard force in socio-economic development, contributing to narrowing the development gap between regions while preserving cultural identity and firmly protecting national border sovereignty. While the aspiration to contribute and build the homeland exists within every youth union member, it must be ignited and supported by favorable conditions. When provided with opportunities for education, training, capital policies, employment, and production connections, youths become a vital internal resource for local sustainable development. Under the implementation of the two-tier local government model, the province’s youths have shown steady mettle in innovating leadership methods, mobilizing the masses, and developing the economy. Young officials have created momentum at the grassroots level through their capacity and pioneering roles, setting examples by establishing production models themselves. The secondment of hundreds of young officials from the provincial level to communes to support professional work and provide vocational training for grassroots staff stands as a testament to this pioneering spirit.

Accompanying youths in education, career startups, digital transformation, and enhancing digital capacity has been intensified by Youth Union levels, opening up development opportunities specifically for those in highland and ethnic minority areas. “Pioneering - Solidarity - Mettle - Breakthrough - Development” is the action slogan that Điện Biên’s youths have identified for the 2025-2030 period, aiming to build a comprehensively strong Union organization. Promoting this spirit requires awakening the desire for dedication and creativity so that the young generation can join hands with Party committees, authorities, and ethnic groups for the rapid and sustainable development of Điện Biên.
