Attending the conference at the Điện Biên province bridge point were Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; leaders of the provincial People’s Committee; and representatives of the provincial boards, departments, and sectors.
The conference focused on evaluating the socio-economic situation in the first six months of the year, public investment capital disbursement results, and State budget execution, while discussing core tasks and solutions for the final months of the year.
According to reports, GDP in the first six months of the year is estimated to increase by 8.18%, marking the highest growth rate for the same period in nearly two decades. State budget collection reached nearly VND 1.57 quadrillion; total import-export turnover was estimated at USD 549.6 billion, up 27.1% over the same period last year; and public investment capital disbursement reached nearly VND 357 trillion, equal to 35.5% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
Delegates from ministries, sectors, and localities focused on discussing and analyzing achieved results, difficulties, and snags. They proposed solutions to maintain macroeconomic stability, drive growth, accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, improve the business investment environment, and effectively execute socio-economic development tasks for the final six months of the year.
Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng requested ministries, sectors, and localities to continue promoting a proactive and drastic spirit, turning willpower into action and policies into concrete results.
Emphasizing that the full-year growth target still faces many challenges, the Prime Minister requested focused and effective implementation of resolutions from the Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government, alongside accelerating public investment capital disbursement and untying difficulties for production and business.
He also urged units to continue perfecting institutions, boosting the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, and elevating the operational efficiency of two levels of local government, striving to achieve the highest completion of 2026 socio-economic development goals.
