The closing proceedings were directed by Lê Thành Đô, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, alongside Vice Chairpersons Cao Thị Tuyết Lan and Bùi Minh Hải.
During the session, the council heard a directive speech from provincial Party Secretary Trần Tiến Dũng, as well as reports from the provincial Election Committee on the election results and the confirmation of delegate status. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province also presented a summary of voter petitions gathered during the recent election.
The council conducted elections for key leadership positions within the provincial People’s Council and the provincial People’s Committee for the 2026-2031 term, in addition to electing assessors for the provincial People’s Court and regional courts. Delegates also considered the establishment of the Ethnic Board and approved a resolution regarding the plan for regular sessions in 2026. In these elections, Lê Thành Đô was re-elected as Chairman of the 16th provincial People’s Council, while Cao Thị Tuyết Lan and Bùi Minh Hải were elected as Vice Chairpersons.
Regarding the leadership of specialized boards, Lỳ Thị Phương Diện was elected as Chair of the Economics and Budget Board, and Lò Thị Bích was chosen to lead the Cultural and Social Board. Lường Thu Hiền was elected as Chair of the Legal Board, and Mùa Thanh Sơn was appointed as Chair of the newly established Ethnic Board.
For the Executive Board, delegates re-elected Lê Văn Lương as Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for the 2026-2031 term. The positions of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee were filled by Lò Văn Cương, Nguyễn Văn Đoạt, and Nguyễn Minh Phú, all of whom received high levels of confidence from the council. Additionally, 15 individuals were elected as members of the provincial People’s Committee for the new term.
All resolutions concerning organization, personnel, and the schedule for regular sessions in 2026 were passed with very high consensus. In his closing speech, Lê Thành Đô expressed his confidence that the newly elected officials would maximize their abilities and sense of responsibility to excellently fulfill their duties, justifying the trust of the provincial Party Committee and the voters. He requested that provincial agencies quickly complete the necessary documentation for central approval of these key leadership positions.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the elected officials must immediately begin their legal duties and develop work programs to effectively exercise their powers. He concluded by stressing the importance of close coordination between the National Assembly delegation, the People’s Council, and the People’s Committee to leverage the combined strength of the political system and successfully implement the resolutions of the 14th National Party Congress and the 15th provincial Party Congress.
