Điện Biên’s Party Chief Trần Tiến Dũng welcomes investors from Taiwan (China)

ĐBP - On the evening of January 14, at the Điện Biên provincial Convention and Cultural Center, provincial Party Secretary Trần Tiến Dũng held a reception for a delegation of investors from Taiwan (China) ed by Liu Dong, Director of Industrial and Utility-Scale Power Development at Verdant Energy (under A.P. Moller Group).

Attending the reception were Lò Văn Cương, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of several provincial departments and sectors.

At the meeting, provincial Party Secretary Trần Tiến Dũng expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Taiwanese investor delegation to visit and explore the investment environment in Điện Biên. He outlined the province’s outstanding socio-economic development results in 2025, while highlighting local potential and advantages, especially in the fields of clean energy, renewable energy, and high-tech industry.

The provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Điện Biên province is focusing on implementing the goals of the 15th provincial Party Congress Resolution for the 2025-2030 term, striving to become a province developed towards a green, smart, and sustainable economy by 2030. Additionally, the Sơn La - Điện Biên - Tây Trang Border Gate expressway project, expected to commence in the coming time, will create an infrastructure breakthrough and open up many favorable opportunities for investors.

Speaking at the meeting, Liu Dong expressed delight at visiting and working in Điện Biên province. He highly evaluated the local economic development potential in many sectors, particularly renewable energy, solar power, and garments. Investors in the delegation hoped that both sides would soon have opportunities for specific and effective investment cooperation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in the future.
