Dissemination work is being implemented through diverse forms, celebrating the 1975 Spring Victory as a testament to the nation’s willpower and aspiration for peace. These efforts focus on recreating the glorious milestones of the resistance war against the US while reflecting the outstanding achievements of the country and Điện Biên province specifically. Special attention is also paid to gratitude activities and honoring those with meritorious services to the revolution, which encourages families to continue promoting revolutionary traditions.

In schools, traditional education is integrated through flag ceremonies, extracurricular activities, and visits to historical sites. Many schools organize history competitions, storytelling, and painting contests focused on April 30, which helps spark a passion for learning history among the younger generation. Nguyễn Thị Hà, a student at Điện Biên Phủ High School, shared that these vivid extracurricular programs help her and her classmates better understand the significance of the two major national milestones, the May 7 Điện Biên Phủ Victory and the April 30 Southern Liberation, thereby instilling a greater sense of responsibility for their studies.

Fifty-one years after the country’s complete liberation, Điện Biên’s economy has seen comprehensive development with stable growth. In the 2021 - 2025 period, the average GRDP growth rate reached 8.48% per year, and the scale of the economy has expanded with the 2025 GRDP estimated at over VND 17.6 trillion. Per capita income reached VND 52.95 million, a sharp increase compared to 2020. The economic structure is shifting in the right direction, reflecting a trend toward sustainable development and improved competitiveness.

Agriculture continues to affirm its role as the pillar of the economy, gradually moving toward commodity production linked with scientific applications. By 2025, the wet rice area reached more than 31,293 hectares, while grain output was estimated at 1.42 million tons. Many key crops such as coffee, rubber, and macadamia are being expanded into concentrated production areas, with the goal of making the province the largest macadamia raw material region in the country by 2030.

The industrial, construction, and service sectors are developing dynamically, contributing significantly to economic growth. The industrial production index for 2021 - 2025 increased by an average of 11.58% per year, while retail and consumption revenue doubled since 2020 to approximately VND 28,310 billon. Tourism has seen a breakthrough with over 5.4 million visitors during the 2021 - 2025 period, generating revenue of over VND 9,400 billion. Notably, the poverty rate was reduced to about 17.66% by 2025, showing positive changes in the quality of life for the people.
