Điện Biên provincial Party Committee meets former provincial leaders in Hà Nội

ĐBP - On February 9, in the capital of Hà Nội, the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee organized a meeting with former provincial leaders from various periods.

Attending the meeting from Điện Biên province were Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Lê Thành Đô, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Phạm Đức Toàn, Member of the provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the provincial Party Organizing Board; and Nguyễn Minh Phú, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The meeting was also attended by Nguyễn Văn Thắng, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Finance; Trần Văn Sơn, Minister and Chairman of the Government Office; and former Secretaries of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee: Trịnh Long Biên and Trần Quốc Cường, along with other former provincial leaders currently living in Hà Nội.

During the gathering, delegates watched a documentary summarizing the results of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and the building of the Party and political system in 2025, as well as the political goals and tasks for 2026.

In the discussions at the meeting, the former provincial leaders expressed their joy at the results achieved by the province and their confidence that, with correct policies and the determination and unity of the leadership, Điện Biên will continue to develop. They hope the province will strive to become a well-developed locality in the region, focusing on green, smart, and sustainable development to successfully implement the Resolution of the provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the gathering, Trần Tiến Dũng expressed deep gratitude and acknowledged the sentiments and contributions of the former provincial leaders toward the development of Điện Biên. The provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the leadership will continue to promote the heroic spirit of Điện Biên Phủ, maintaining solidarity and determination to effectively implement socio-economic development tasks and uphold national defense. On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year of the Horse, Trần Tiến Dũng wished the former leaders abundant health, peace, and prosperity, and hoped they would continue to care for and provide suggestions for the development of the province.
