Attending the ceremony were Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Standing Members of the provincial Party Committee; Members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; Standing Members of the provincial People’s Council; leaders of the provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Members of the Executive Board of the provincial Party Committee; and leaders of Provincial boards, departments, sectors, Điện Biên Phủ ward, and Mường Phăng commune.
Amidst a solemn atmosphere, the delegation offered incense and laid floral wreaths at President Hồ Chí Minh’s Memorial House and the Temple to Martyrs in the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield. Before the spirits of President Hồ Chí Minh and heroic martyrs, the delegation respectfully commemorated and expressed profound gratitude for their immense sacrifices for national independence and freedom - vowing to continue studying and following Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and style, promoting revolutionary traditions, and building an increasingly prosperous Điện Biên.
Subsequently, the delegation offered flowers and incense in tribute to heroic martyrs at A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery. In a sacred atmosphere, delegates reverently remembered the outstanding sons and daughters who fought courageously and sacrificed to contribute to the Điện Biên Phủ Victory that was “illustrious across five continents, shaking the globe.” The Party Committee, authorities, and ethnic communities of Điện Biên province pledged to continue carrying out gratitude policies well, caring for national contributors and martyrs’ families, and uniting to build a rapidly and sustainably developing home province.
The delegation also offered incense at General Võ Nguyên Giáp’s Worshiping Site within the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign Headquarters Relic Site in Mường Phăng commune. Before the General’s spirit, delegates expressed deep gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army, who made monumental contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and nation. The delegation pledged to uphold glorious traditions, strengthen solidarity, heighten responsibility, and determine to successfully achieve socio-economic development, national defense, security, and clean, strong Party and political system building goals.
The incense and flower offering activities serve as an occasion for the Party Committee, government, and citizens of Điện Biên province to express deep gratitude to President Hồ Chí Minh, General Võ Nguyên Giáp, and heroic martyrs who dedicated and sacrificed their lives for national liberation, construction, and defense - while continuing to awaken patriotic traditions and the national ethics of “When drinking water, remember its source” and “Gratitude.”
