Attending the ceremony were Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; leaders of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments, boards, sectors, and the armed forces; leaders and former leaders of the provincial Police across various periods; alongside cadres and soldiers of the provincial Police’s Security Force.

Delivering the commemorative speech, Senior Colonel Giàng Páo Sính, Deputy Director of the provincial Police, affirmed that since its establishment, the local Security Force has grown continuously, promoting the tradition of resourcefulness and bravery. The force has proactively fought to defeat the sabotage plots of hostile forces, successfully maintaining political stability and guaranteeing security along the borderlines and strategic regions of the Fatherland.

Senior Colonel Giàng Páo Sính also reviewed the prominent hallmarks of the provincial Police’s Security Force across revolutionary periods. This spans from protecting liberated zones, serving the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign, fighting espionage and reactionaries, and protecting borders, to guaranteeing internal political security, economic security, cyber security, and fighting high-tech crimes during the renovation era.

Promoting the 80-year tradition of the People’s Security Force and 73 years of construction, combat, and growth of the Provincial Police’s Security Force, the units will continue to thoroughly grasp the perspective of “proactive security.” They aim to master the situation early on, from afar, and right from the grassroots level. The force will step up digital transformation and science and technology applications in their work, while elevating the quality of Party building, force building, and constructing a robust people’s security posture alongside a solid people’s heart posture, satisfying national security protection tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the ceremony, provincial Party Committee Secretary Trần Tiến Dũng acknowledged and praised the glorious exploits, achievements, and immense dedication of generations of cadres and soldiers of the Provincial Police’s Security Force in the cause of national security protection, preserving border sovereignty, guaranteeing social order and safety, and ensuring a peaceful life for the people.

The provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized that through more than 73 years of construction, combat, and growth, the local Security Force has successfully promoted its core role, effectively advising party committees and authorities to synchronously deploy political security protection solutions, fighting to defeat numerous sabotage plots of hostile forces, and effectively resolving complex security matters, thereby contributing to creating a stable environment for socio-economic development.

Facing the demands and tasks of the new phase, the provincial Party Committee Secretary requested the Security Force to continue to effectively grasp and deploy the Party’s guidelines on national security protection. They must proactively master the situation early on, from afar, and from the grassroots level, firmly protecting border security, ethnic and religious security, cyber security, and key targets. Concurrently, focus must be placed on effectively executing the goal of building a drug-free Điện Biên province by 2030, stepping up the building of a clean, robust, regular, elite, and modern People’s Public Security force with strong applications of science, technology, and digital transformation, while constructing a people’s security posture linked with a whole-people national defense posture and a solid people’s heart posture.

The provincial Party Committee Secretary expressed his firm belief that the provincial Police’s Security Force will continue to promote its heroic tradition, achieving numerous outstanding exploits, contributing to preserving national security, and serving the rapid and sustainable development of Điện Biên province.

At the ceremony, representatives of generations of former leaders of the Provincial Police and young cadres spoke to recall traditions, expressing their determination to continue inheriting and promoting the heroic tradition of the People’s Security Force.

Also at the ceremony, the organizing panel announced the Decision of the President awarding the Third-Class Fatherland Protection Order to 19 individuals who are former cadres of the Provincial Police for their outstanding achievements in the cause of building the People’s Public Security force, protecting national security, and preserving social order and safety.
