RoK’s Happy Area Development Fund (FAD) works in Điện Biên province

ĐBP - On June 10, at the Điện Biên provincial Department of Home Affairs, a delegation from the Happy Area Development Fund (FAD) of the Republic of Korea (RoK), led by Moon Huyn, Chairman of FAD, held a working session with several relevant departments, sectors, and units of the province to exchange and discuss future cooperation contents.

Working with the delegation were Nguyễn Tiến Đạt, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, along with leaders of the provincial Employment Service Center, the provincial Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center, and related units.

During the working session, the parties discussed potentials, cooperation needs, and FAD’s support programs for Điện Biên province. The contents centered on fields such as labor, employment, human resource training, investment promotion, international cooperation, and social security activities.

Concurrently, they discussed with the provincial Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center options for exchange and cooperation with Jangheung county, Jeollanam province, the RoK. Also at the meeting, the delegation invited representatives of Điện Biên province to participate in the “Jangheung Water Festival” and exchanged views on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on seasonal labor cooperation between the two localities.

Through the working agenda, Điện Biên province wishes to strengthen connectivity with RoK partners, expand cooperation opportunities, and attract resources to support socio-economic development, while creating favorable conditions for local workers to access employment and quality training opportunities in the coming time.
