Điện Biên and Vysoké Tatry (Slovakia) forge bilateral cooperation

ĐBP - On April 13, at the Government Headquarters, following a formal session of talks, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng and his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico witnessed a ceremony for the exchange of cooperation documents between the two nations.

Among these significant documents was a cooperation agreement established between the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee and the administration of Vysoké Tatry city.

Under the direct witness of both Prime Ministers, Lê Văn Lương, Chairman of the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee, and Jozef Štefaňák, Mayor of Vysoké Tatry, formally exchanged the cooperation agreement.

The two sides have reached a consensus to collaborate across several key sectors, including the economy, trade, science, technology, and culture, for the 2026 - 2031 period.

The signing of this agreement provides a formal foundation for various agencies and units within both localities to begin implementing specific cooperative initiatives.

Beyond local benefits, the partnership is intended to strengthen and consolidate the traditional friendship between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Slovakia as a whole.

Specifically, for Điện Biên and Vysoké Tatry, this alliance is expected to drive socio-economic development, enhance education, advance science and technology, and ultimately improve the quality of life for the residents of both regions.
