ĐBP - Điện Biên is a mountainous province with an abundance of wild plants, roots, and fruits growing naturally, even around houses. However, not all these plants and fruits are edible. Due to limited knowledge about plant toxins, particularly among residents in remote areas, consuming these wild plants frequently leads to poisoning incidents. In recent years, numerous poisoning cases caused by wild plants have occurred, some even resulting in fatalities.

ĐBP - Recently, several women in Điện Biên province have reported receiving phone calls from individuals claiming to be medical staff from the provincial General Hospital or the provincial Department of Health, offering health advice and selling dietary supplements targeting postpartum women and newborns.

ĐBP - In recent times, youths of Điện Biên Phủ city in Điện Biên province have taken the lead in volunteer activities for the community, mobilizing resources and support for disadvantaged children and promoting environmental sanitation efforts.

ĐBP - In an era dominated by digital technology and captivating audio-visual entertainment, the traditional culture of reading faces unprecedented challenges. Recognizing this reality, schools, communities, and military units across Điện Biên province have launched creative initiatives to reignite the passion for books, especially among the young generation.

ĐBP - In recent years, the Women’s Unions at all levels in Điện Biên province have effectively coordinated with the provincial Border Guard Command and various organizations and individuals to implement the program “Supporting women in border areas.”

ĐBP - In 2024, authorities in Điện Biên province inspected food-related establishments and uncovered 267 facilities that failed to meet food safety standards. Among them, 266 establishments were fined, and one was ordered to cease operation.

They are now working diligently, driven by the determination to correct their mistakes and rebuild their lives. The State President’s decision to grant special amnesty has opened a new door, reigniting the dream of rehabilitation for these inmates.

ĐBP - Nậm Sin Village, located in Chung Chải commune, Mường Nhé district, Điện Biên province, is home to the Si La ethnic minority group. Over more than 40 years since its founding, thanks to special attention from the Party, State, and local authorities, Nậm Sin has undergone significant transformation.

ĐBP - The implementation of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety has led to increased public awareness and compliance with traffic regulations in Việt Nam. However, in some mountainous and rural areas, traffic safety violations remain prevalent. Common violations include motorcyclists not wearing helmets, overloading, and reckless driving.

With Circular No.29/2024/TT-BGDĐT prohibiting paid extra tutoring sessions outside regular class hours, high school teachers across Điện Biên province are offering free review classes to support them to achieve the best results on their exams.

ĐBP -  In response to the 2025 Youth Month, young members of various youth union chapters across the province have launched numerous meaningful and practical activities, projects, and initiatives at the grassroots level. These efforts vividly demonstrate the pioneering spirit, volunteerism, and creativity of Vietnamese youth, echoing President Hồ Chí Minh’s teaching: “Wherever there is a need, there are youth, wherever there is difficulty, there are youth”.
